The male mosquito is an innocent and harmless creature, which, like butterflies, generally feeds on the nectar of flowers. The females are the ones who suck the blood, as they need the proteins found in blood to produce as many eggs as possible.

Mosquitoes use a variety of senses to detect humans, one of which is their highly developed sense of smell. The smell of the essential oils registers as a threat to them and therefore act as mosquito repellents.

Apply to exposed skin.
